Shri Kali Stotra

ॐ अचिंत्यामिताकार शक्ति स्वरूपा प्रतिव्यक्तव्यधिष्टान सत्वैक मूर्ति:।
गुणातीत निर्द्वन्द्वबोधैकगम्या त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥१
Hey goddess Kali! Your starnge powers and strength cannot be compared to any. You are present in each one in your true form.  You are away from the three Guna’s, achieved through specific knowledge and resides in the Brahma.

अगोत्रा कृतित्वादनैकान्तिकत्वा दलक्ष्यागमत्वाद शेषाकर त्वात् ।
प्रपंचालसत्वादना रम्भकत्वात् त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥२

You do not belong to any religion or community. You are in many forms. You are unstoppable and that is why nobody or nothing can with overcome your speed. You are not required in stage of the world. You are on the whole, the creator, caretaker and destroyer of the world.

यदा नैवघाता न विष्णुर्नरुद्रो न काली न वा पंचभूतानिनाशा ।
तदा कारणीभूत सत्वैक मूर्ति त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥३

When Lords Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Kaal, Panchabhoot and Dik were not there, you were the much before them serving their purpose. You are the only one in the Brahma with a distinctive power.

न मीमांसकानैव कालादितर्का न साँख्या न योगा न वेदान्त वेदा: ।
न देवा विदुस्ते निराकार भावं त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥४

You are indescribable. Kaal, Tark, Sankhya Yog, Vedant,  Veda and Devtagon are unsuccessful in describing you.

न तो नामगोत्रे न ते जन्म मृत्यु न ते धाम चेष्टे न ते दुख सोख्ये ।
न ते मित्र शत्रु न ते बन्ध मोक्षौ त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥५

Hey Goddess! Neither you have a name, not any Gotra (caste), not birth, nor death. Neither you havea house nor a Ghaat ( Place). Neither you have any desire nor any sorrow. You do not have happiness. You neither have a friend not an enemy nor Moksha.  I pay my devotion to you.

न बाला न च त्वं वयस्था न वृद्धा न च स्यदिषष्ठ पुमान्नैव च त्वम् ।
न व त्वं सुरो नासुरो नो नरो वा त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥६

Goddess! You are neither a child, nor an adult, not an old, not a young, not a female, not a male. Neither any devta, not an evil and you are not a human also. You are present in the Brahma itself.

जले शीतलत्वं शुचौदाहकत्व विधौ निर्मलत्वं रवौ तापकत्वम् ।
तवैवाम्बिके यस्म कस्यापि शक्ति त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा॥७

Hey Jagdambey! You are present in the purity of water, anger of fire, coolness of the moon and the heat of the sun. You are the power of all the objects.

पपौक्ष्वेडमुग्रे पुरा यन्महेश: पुन: संहरत्यन्त काले जगच्च ।
तवैव प्रसादान्त च स्वस्य शक्त्या त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥८

O Goddess! Once when Lord Mahadev drank poison and the works/tasks that we did for the progress of the world were done to make you happy. He did not do it for selfish reasons.

कराला कृतीन्यानानि भ्रयान्ती भजन्ती करास्त्रादि बाहुल्यमिथम् ।
जगत्पालनाया सुराणाम् बंधाय त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥ ९

O Devi! You always have weapons in your hands to kill the devils and negative forces and work as a caretaker. You are the destroyer of Rakshas ( Devil). You are present in the entire Brahma.

रूदन्ती शिवाभिर्वहन्ती कपालं जयन्ती सुरारीन बधन्ती प्रसन्ना।
नटन्ती पतन्ती चलंती हसंती त्वमेका परंबह्मरूपेण सिद्धा ॥१०

Hey Kalika! You are the one to talk to Shivmurti, possessor of Kapaal, destroyer of the enemies of Lords, always remain happy, dancing and smiling always. You are in the Brahma.

आपादापिवताधिकं धावसित्व श्रुतिभ्याम् विहिनामि शब्द श्रृणोसि ।
अनासापिजिध्रस्य नेत्रापि पश्य स्वजिह्वापि नानारसास्वाद विज्ञा ॥११

Hey Dayamayi! You do not have feet but still run much faster that air also. You are deaf, but still you can hear the prayers of your devotees. You cannot smell but still can smell the fragrance of objects. You are blind, but still keep an eye on all. You do not a tongue, but still can taste all types of food.

यथा भ्रामयित्वा मृद चक्र कुलाली बिद्यते शरावं घटं च ।
महामोह यंत्रेषु भूतान्य शेषान् तथा मानुषास्त्वं सृत्रस्यादि सर्गे ॥१२

यथा रंगरज्वर्कदृष्टिष्व कस्मान्नृणां रूपदर्वी कराम्बुभ्रम: स्यात् ।
जगत्यत्र तत्तन्मये तद्वदेव त्वमेकैव तत्तन्नितत्तौ समस्तम् ॥१३

Hey Sarva Vidyamayi ( creator of Knowledge)! The way the human body reflects silver. Rope reflects snake and sunrays reflects the water, similarly you are the only one in the world which gives the reflection of every object or ingredient. After all this also, you are the most supreme.

महाज्योति एका संहासनम् वत् त्वकीयान् सुरान वाहयस्युग्रमूर्ते ।
अवष्टभ्य पदभ्याम् शिवं भैरवं च स्थिता तेन मध्ये भवत्येव मुख्या ॥१४

Hey Aaporva Roopani ( beautiful) ! You provide devatas with utmost position and power. When angry, you supress Lord Shiva and Lord Bhairav underneath.

कुयोग आसने योग मुद्राभिनीति: कुगोसायु पोतस्य वालाननं च ।
जगन्मातरादृक तवा पूर्वलीला कथं कारमस्मद्विधैर्देवि गम्या ॥१५

Hey Goddess! Your beauty lies in your images ( sitting on a dead body and wearing a necklace of skulls around her neck etc.) I can not understand this beauty of yours and none can.

महाघोर कालानल ज्वाल ज्वाल सित्यत्यंतवासा महाट्टाहासा ।
जटाभार काला महामुण्ड माला विशाला त्वमहित मयाध्यायशSम्ब ॥१६

Hey Amba! You are the main component in the middle of the branch of Mahaghor Kalaanal as a Jatadharini ( one with long hair). Black in colour with a mala of skulls looks powerful. I pay my devotion to you.

तपोनैव कुर्वन् वपु: सदयामि ब्रजन्नापि तीर्थ पदे खंजयामि ।
पटठन्नापि वेदान् चनि यापयामि त्वदंघ्रिद्वयं मंगल साधयामि ॥१७

Hey Goddess! I do not want to devote/ finish my body in worship. Neither do I want to paralyse my legs by roaming/visiting Teeth (Pieus) places nor do I want to end my life in the knowledge if Vedas. I only want to perform my services for you and at your feet.

तिरस्कुर्वतोsन्यामारो पास नार्चे परित्यक्त धर्माध्वरस्यास्य जन्तो: ।
त्वदाराधनान्यस्त चित्तस्य किं मे करिष्यन्तयमी धर्मराज्य दूता: ॥१८

O Goddess! I have given up my believings and worships for other Lords, giving up all the religious feelings, have diverted my heart towards your devotion. What can the messengers of Dharmaraaj do to me? When you are there to protect me.

न मन्यसे हरि न वुधातारमीशं न वह्निं न ह्यर्क न चेन्द्रादि देवान् ।
शिवोदीरितानेक वाक्यप्रबन्ध स्त्वदर्चाविधानं विशत्वम्ब मत्याम् ॥१९

Hey Ambey! I do not believe in Hari, Brahma, Ishaan, Agni ( fire), Sura, Indra. I believe in towards of Shiva. In the result your vidhi should enter my heart.

नरा मां विनिन्दन्तु नाम त्यजेद्वान्धंवा ज्ञातय: सन्त्यजन्तु ।
मयि भटा नारके पातयन्तु त्वमेका गतिर्मे त्वमेका गतिर्मे ॥२०

Any devotee who recites this strotra, by Rudra Mahakaal, is free from sudden death. He attain sidddhi.

Devi Ashtakam

देव्यष्टकम्

महादेवीं महाशक्तिं भवानीं भववल्लभाम्।
भवार्तिभञ्जनकरीं वन्दे त्वां लोकमातरम् ॥१॥

I adore You, Who is the great Goddess (Mahādevī), Who is Mahāśakti (the greatest power), Who is Bhavānī, Who is the dear one of Śiva (Bhava), Who destroys the grief of metempsychosis, and Who is the Mother of the world.

भक्तिप्रियां भक्तिगम्यां भक्तानां कीर्तिवधिकाम् ।
भवप्रियां सतीं देवीं वन्दे त्वां भक्तवत्सलाम् ॥२॥

I adore You, Who is dear to devotees, Who is reachable by devotion, Who increases the fame (glory) of devotees, Who is dear to Śiva, Who is Satī (eternal truth), Who is noble Goddess, and Who endears devotees.

अन्नपूर्णा सदापूर्णा पार्वतीं पर्वपूजिताम् ।
महेश्वरीं वृषारुढां वन्दे त्वां परमेश्वरीम् ॥३॥

I adore You, Who is Annapūrṇā (Who gives grains), Who is always complete (in every way), Who is Pārvatī (daughter of Parvata Himālaya), Who is prayed on parva (Parva consists of the full moon day, the change of moon, and the eighth day and the fourteenth day of half month.), Who is the greatĪśvarī, Who is seated on a bull, and Who is the supreme Goddess.

कालरात्रिं महारात्रिं मोहरात्रिं जनेश्वरीम् ।
शिवकान्तां शम्भुशक्तिं वन्दे त्वां जननीमुमाम् ॥४॥

I adore You, Who is Kālarātriḥ, Who is the great Goddess Rātriḥ,Who is the night of deluge (prayalakāla rātriḥ), Who is the Goddess of everyone, Who is the beloved of Śiva, Who is the power of Śambhu, Who is the Mother, and Who is known as Umā.

जगत्कत्रीं जगद्धात्रीं जगत्संहारकारिणीम् ।
मुनिभि: संस्तुतां भद्रां वन्दे त्वां मोक्षदायिनीम् ॥५॥

I adore You, Who creates the universe, Who nourishes (protects) the universe like a Mother, Who causes the destruction of universe (at deluge), Who is eulogized by sages (muni), Who is auspicious, and Who bestows mokṣa (liberation).

देवदु:खहरामम्बां सदा देवसहायकाम् ।
मुनिदेवै: सदा सेव्यां वन्दे त्वां देवपूजिताम् ॥६॥

I adore You, Who absolves the grief of demi-gods (or noble ones), Who is the Divine Mother, Who always helps the demi-gods (or noble ones), Who is always worthy to be honored by sages and demi-gods, and Who is worshipped by demi-gods (or noble ones).

त्रिनेत्रां शंकरीं गौरीं भगमोक्षप्रदां शिवाम् ।
महामायां जगद्वजां वन्दे त्वां जगदीश्वरीम् ॥७॥

I adore You, Who has three eyes, Who is the consort of Śiva, Who is Gaurī (or of fair-complexion), Who bestows luxuries and liberation, Who is eternally blissful, Who is the great illusory power (Māyā), Who is the seed (cause) of this universe, and Who is the Goddess of the universe.

शरणागतजीवानां सर्वदु:खविनाशिनीम् ।
सुखसम्पत्करीं नित्यां वन्दे त्वां प्रकृतिं पराम् ॥८॥

I adore You, Who destroys all the griefs of living-beings seeking shelter (in Her), Who causes happiness and prosperity, Who is eternal, Who is Prakṛti (primordial One), and Who is Parā.

देव्यष्टकमिदं पुण्यं योगानन्देन निर्मितम् ।
य: पठेद्भक्तिभावेन लभते स परं सुखम् ॥९॥

With devotion, he who reads these eight verses on Goddess —which is virtuous, and which is written by Yogānanda, he attains the final happiness and bliss.

Mahalakshmi Stuti by Indra from Vishnu Puran

श्री महालक्ष्मी स्तोत्रं

श्रीगणेशाय नमः।

सिंहासनगतः शक्रः सम्प्राप्य त्रिदिवं पुनः । देवराज्ये स्थितो देवीं तुष्टावाब्जकरां ततः ॥ १॥

तदनन्तर इन्द्रने स्वर्गलोकमें जाकर फिरसे देवराज्यपर अघिकार पाया और राजसिंहासनपर आरूढ हो पद्महस्ता श्रीलक्ष्मीजीकी इस प्रकार स्तुति की।

इन्द्र उवाच

नमस्ये सर्वलोकानां जननीमब्जसम्भवाम । श्रियमुनिन्द्रपद्माक्षीं विष्णुवक्षःस्थलस्थिताम् ॥ २॥

सम्पूर्ण लोककी जननी, विकसित कमलके सदृश नेत्रोवाली, भगवान् विष्णुके वक्ष:स्थलमे विराजमान कमलोद्भवा श्रीलक्ष्मीदेवीको मैं नमस्कार करता हू ।

पद्मालयां पद्मकरां पद्मपत्रनिभेक्षणाम वन्दे पद्ममुखीं देवीं पद्मनाभप्रियाम्यहम ॥ ३॥

कमल ही जिनका निवासस्थान है, कमल ही जिनके कर-कमलोमे सुशोभित है, तथा कमल-दलके समान ही जिनके नेत्र है उन कमलमुखी कमलनाभ-प्रिया श्रीकमलादेवीकी मै वन्दना करता हूँ।

त्वं सिद्धिस्त्वं स्वधा स्वाहा सुधा त्वं लोकपावनी । सन्ध्या रात्रिः प्रभा भूतिर्मेधा श्रद्धा सरस्वती ॥ ४॥

हे देवि ! तुम सिद्धि हो, स्वधा हो। स्वाहा हो, सुधा हो और त्रिलोकीको पवित्र करनेवाली हो तथा तुम ही सन्ध्या, रात्रि, प्रभा, विभूति, मेधा, श्रद्धा और सरस्वती हो।

यज्ञविद्या महाविद्या गुह्यविद्या च शोभने । आत्मविद्या च देवि त्वं विमुक्तिफलदायिनी ॥ ५॥

हे शोभने ! यज्ञ-विद्या (कर्म-काण्ड), महाविद्या (उपासना) और गुह्यविद्या (इन्द्रजाल) तुन्ही हो तथा हे देवी ! तुम्ही मुक्ति-फल-दायिनी आत्मविद्या हो।

आन्वीक्षिकी त्रयीवार्ता दण्डनीतिस्त्वमेव च । सौम्यासौम्यैर्जगद्रूपैस्त्वयैतद्देवि पूरितम ॥ ६॥

हे देवि ! आन्वीक्षिकी (तर्कविद्या), वेदत्रयी, वार्ता (शिल्पवाणिज्यादि) और दण्डनीति (राजनिति) भी तुम्ही हो।तुमर्ह अपने शान्त और उग्र रूपोसे यह समस्त संसार व्याप्त किया हुआ है।

का त्वन्या त्वमृते देवि सर्वयज्ञमयं वपुः । अध्यास्ते देवदेवस्य योगचिन्त्यं गदाभृतः ॥ ७॥

हे देवि ! तुम्हारे बिना और ऐसी कौन स्त्री है जो देवदेव भगवान् गदाधरके योगिजन-चिन्तित सर्वयज्ञमय शरीरका आश्रय पा सके।

त्वया देवि परित्यक्तं सकलं भुवनत्रयम् । विनष्टप्रायमभवत्त्वयेदानीं समेधितम ॥ ८॥

हे देवी ! तुम्हारे छोड देनेपर सम्पूर्ण त्रिलोकी नष्टप्राप हो गयी थी; अब तुम्हीने उसे पुन: जीवन-दान दिया है।

दाराः पुत्रास्तथाऽऽगारं सुहृद्धान्यधनादिकम । भवत्येतन्महाभागे नित्यं त्वद्वीक्षणान्नृणाम ॥ ९॥

हे महाभागे ! स्त्री, पुत्र, गृह, धन, थान्य तथा सुहद् ये सब सदा आपहीके दृष्टिपातसे मनुष्योको मिलते है।

शरीरारोग्यमैश्वर्यमरिपक्षक्षयः सुखम । देवि त्वदृष्टिदृष्टानां पुरुषाणां न दुर्लभम ॥१०॥

हे देवी ! तुम्हारी कृपा-दृष्टिके पात्र पुरुषोके लिये शारीरिक आरोग्य, ऐश्वर्य, शत्रु-पक्षका नाश और सुख आदि कुछ भी दुर्लभ नही है।

 त्वमम्बा सर्वभूतानां देवदेवो हरिः पिता । त्वयैतद्विष्णुना चाम्ब जगद्व्याप्तं चराचरम ॥११॥

तुम सम्पूर्ण लोकोकी माता हो और देवदेव भगवान् हरि पिता हेँ।हे मात: ! तुमसे और श्रीविष्णुभगवान्से यह सकल चराचर जगत् व्याप्त है।

मनःकोशस्तथा गोष्ठं मा गृहं मा परिच्छदम । मा शरीरं कलत्रं च त्यजेथाः सर्वपावनि ॥ १२॥

हे सर्वपावनि, मातेश्वरी ! हमारे कोश (खजाना), गोष्ठ (पशु-शाला), गृह, भोगसामग्री, शरीर और स्त्री आदिको आप कभी न त्यागे अर्थात् इनमें भरपूर रहे।

मा पुत्रान्मा सुहृद्वर्गान् मा पशून्मा विभूषणम । त्यजेथा मम देवस्य विष्णोर्वक्षः स्थलाश्रये ॥ १३॥

अयि विष्णुवक्ष: स्थल निवासिनि ! हमारे पुत्र, सुहद, पशु और भूषण आदिको आप कभी न छोडे।

सत्त्वेन सत्यशौचाभ्यां तथा शीलादिभिर्गुणैः । त्यज्यन्ते ते नराः सद्यः सन्त्यक्ता ये त्वयामले ॥१४॥

हे अमले ! जिन मनुष्योको तुम छोड देती हो उन्हे सत्त्व (मानसिक बल), सत्य, शौच और शील आदि गुण भी शीघ्र ही त्याग देते है।

त्वया वलोकिताः सद्यः शीलाद्यैरखिलैर्गुणैः । कुलैश्वर्यैश्च युज्यन्ते पुरुषा निर्गुणा अपि ॥१५॥

और तुम्हारी कृपा-दृष्टी होनेपर तो गुणहीन पुरूष भी शीघ्र ही शील आदि सम्पूर्ण गुण और कुलीनता तथा ऐश्वर्य आदिसे सम्पन्न हो जाते है।

स श्लाघ्यः सगुणी धन्यः स कुलीनः स बुद्धिमान । स शूरः स च विक्रान्तो यस्त्वया देवि वीक्षितः ॥१६॥

हे देवि ! जिसपर तुम्हारी कृपादृष्टि है वही प्रशंसनीय है, वही गुणी है, वही धन्घभाग्य है, वही कुलोन और बुद्धिमान् है तथा वही शुरवीर और पराक्रमी है।

सद्यो वैगुण्यमायान्ति शीलाद्याः सकला गुणाः । पराङ्गमुखी जगद्धात्री यस्य त्वं विष्णुवल्लभे ॥१७॥

हे विष्णुप्रये ! हे जगजन्ननि ! तुम जिससे विमुख हो उसके तो शील आदि शभी गुण तुरन्त अवगुणरूप हो जाते है।

 न ते वर्णयितुं शक्ता गुणाञ्जिह्वाऽपि वेधसः । प्रसीद देवि पद्माक्षि माऽस्मांस्त्याक्षीः कदाचन ॥ १८॥

हे देवि ! तुम्हारे गुणोंका वर्णन करनेमे तो श्रीव्रह्माजीकी रसना भी समर्थ नही है। [फिर मैं क्या कर सकता हुँ?] अत: हे कमललयने ! अब मूझपर प्रसन्न हो और मुझे कभी न छोडो।

॥ इति श्रीविष्णुपुराणे महालक्ष्मी स्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम्॥

मंगल चण्डिका स्तोत्रम्

॥शंकर उवाच॥

रक्ष रक्ष जगन्मातर्देवि मंगलचण्डिके । हारिके विपदां राशेर्हर्ष-मंगल-कारिके ॥
हर्ष-मंगल-दक्षे च हर्ष-मंगल-चण्डिके । शुभे मंगल-दक्षे च शुभ-मंगल-चण्डिके ॥
मंगले मंगलार्हे च सर्व-मंगल-मंगले । सतां मंगलदे देवि सर्वेषां मंगलालये ॥
पूज्या मंगलवारे च मंगलाभीष्ट-दैवते । पूज्ये मंगल-भूपस्य मनुवंशस्य संततम् ॥
मंगलाधिष्ठातृदेवि मंगलानां च मंगले । संसार-मंगलाधारे मोक्ष-मंगल-दायिनी ॥
सारे च मंगलाधारे पारे च सर्वकर्मणाम् । प्रतिमंगलवारे च पूज्ये च मंगलप्रदे ॥
स्तोत्रेणानेन शम्भुश्च स्तुत्वा मंगलचण्डिकाम्
। प्रतिमंगलवारे च पूजां कृत्वा गतः शिवः ॥
देव्याश्च मंगल-स्तोत्रं यं श्रृणोति समाहितः । तन्मंगलं भवेच्छश्वन्न भवेत् तदमंगलम् ॥
प्रथमे पूजिता देवी शंभुना सर्वमंगला । द्वितीये पूजिता देवी मंगलेन ग्रहेण च ॥
तृतीये पूजिता भद्रा मंगलेन नृपेण च । चतुर्थे मंगले वारे सुन्दरीभिश्च पूजिता ॥
पञ्चमे मंगलाकाङ्क्षैर्नरैर्मंलचण्डिका ॥
पूजिता प्रतिविश्वेषु विश्वेशै: प्रतिमा सदा । तत: सर्वत्र संपूज्या सा बभूव सुरेश्वरी ॥
देवादिभिश्च मुनिभिर्मनुभिर्मानवैर्मुने । देव्याश्च मंगलस्तोत्रं य: शृणोति समाहित: ॥
तन्मंगलं भवेच्छश्वन्न भवेत्तदमंगलम् । वर्धन्ते तत्पुत्रपौत्रा मंगलं च दिने दिने ॥
