What is the true meaning of Shree Krishna Sharanam Ma Mah?
In the Mahabharat war, when Arjun becomes discouraged and despondent, laying down his weapons at the thought of having to kill his relatives, Lord Krishna enlightens him with the Knowledge of the True Self (i.e. Lord Krishna gives him Self-Realization); the Knowledge of his real identity.
मत्तगयन्द छन्द बाल समय रबि भक्षि लियो तब तीनहुँ लोक भयो अँधियारो। ताहि सों त्रास भयो जग को यह संकट काहु सों जात न टारो। देवन आनि करी बिनती तब छाँड़ि दियो रबि कष्ट निवारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥१॥
बालि की त्रास कपीस बसै गिरि जात महाप्रभु पंथ निहारो। चौंकि महा मुनि साप दियो तब चाहिय कौन बिचार बिचारो। कै द्विज रूप लिवाय महाप्रभु सो तुम दास के सोक निवारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥२॥
अंगद के सँग लेन गये सिय खोज कपीस यह बैन उचारो। जीवत ना बचिहौ हम सो जु बिना सुधि लाए इहाँ पगु धारो। हेरि थके तट सिंधु सबै तब लाय सिया-सुधि प्रान उबारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥३॥
रावन त्रास दई सिय को सब राक्षसि सों कहि सोक निवारो। ताहि समय हनुमान महाप्रभु जाय महा रजनीचर मारो। चाहत सीय असोक सों आगि सु दै प्रभु मुद्रिका सोक निवारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥४॥
बान लग्यो उर लछिमन के तब प्रान तजे सुत रावन मारो। लै गृह बैद्य सुषेन समेत तबै गिरि द्रोन सु बीर उपारो। आनि सजीवन हाथ दई तब लछिमन के तुम प्रान उबारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥५॥
रावन जुद्ध अजान कियो तब नाग कि फाँस सबै सिर डारो। श्रीरघुनाथ समेत सबै दल मोह भयो यह संकट भारो। आनि खगेस तबै हनुमान जु बंधन काटि सुत्रास निवारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥६॥
बंधु समेत जबै अहिरावन लै रघुनाथ पताल सिधारो। देबिहिं पूजि भली बिधि सों बलि देउ सबै मिलि मंत्र बिचारो। जाय सहाय भयो तब ही अहिरावन सैन्य समेत सँहारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥७॥
काज कियो बड़ देवन के तुम बीर महाप्रभु देखि बिचारो। कौन सो संकट मोर गरीब को जो तुमसों नहिं जात है टारो। बेगि हरो हनुमान महाप्रभु जो कुछ संकट होय हमारो। को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो॥८॥ दोहा लाल देह लाली लसे अरू धरि लाल लँगूर। बज्र देह दानव दलन जय जय जय कपि सूर॥
Kaladaravathamsakam, vichithra loka rakshakam, Anayakaika nayakam vinasithebha daithyakam, Nathashubha pranasakam, namami tham vinayakam. 1
I salute that remover of obstacles, Who has modakas in his hand, Who always bestows salvation, Who wears a part of moon on his head, Who protects this world which is varied, Who is the leader of those who cannot be lead, Who is the cause of destruction of asuras, And who destroys all things which are not good.
Nathetharathi bheekaram navodhitharka bhaswaram, Namath surari nirjaram nathadhikapadhugdharam, Sureswaram Nidheeswaram Gajeswaram Ganeswaram, Maheswaram thamasraye parathparam nirantharam. 2 I bow before that great Lord permanently, Who creates fear in the enemies of his devotees, Who sparkles like the just risen sun, Who is saluted by Gods and Asuras who destroys obstacles of his devotees, Who is the God of all devas, Who is the God of all wealth, Who is the God of all elephants, And Who is the leader of the army of Lord Shiva.
I bow to that Ganapati who shines like the Sun, Who bestows peace to all the worlds, Who removed the Gajamukhasura from this world Who has a very big paunch, Who has an elephant-face which blesses, And who is the one who shows kindness Who is patient, Who is full of blessing, And who showers great fame, To those who salute Him.
I salute the very ancient elephant-god Who destroys the wants of the have nots, Who has been worshipped since ancient times, Who is the eldest son of the lord who destroyed cities, Who eats away the pride of the enemies of the gods, Who is awesome at the time of final deluge, Who wears serpents like Dananjaya as ornaments, And who is fierce like the elephant in rut.
Nithanta kanthi dantha kantha manthakantha kathmajam, Achinthya roopamantha heena mantha raya krunthanam, Hrudanthare nirantharam vasanthameva yoginaam , Tham eka dantha meka meva chinthayami santhatham. 5
I always meditate only on that God with single tusk,, Who is ever lustrous tusk is very pretty, Who is the son of Lord who killed the god of death, Who has a form beyond ones imagination, Who is endless, Who tears asunder all obstacles, And who dwells forever in the heart of Yogis , Like the season of spring.

महागणेश पञ्चरत्नं आदरेण योन्ऽवहं प्रजल्पति प्रभातके हृदि स्मरन्ं गणेश्वरम् . अरोगतां अदोषतां सुसाहितीं सुपुत्रतां समाहितायुरष्ट भूतिमभ्युपैति सोऽचिरत् Maha ganesa pancha rathna maadharena yo anvaham, Prajalpathi prabhathake hrudhi smaran ganeswaram, Arogadhamadhosadham susahitheem suputhratham, Samahithayurshta bhoothi mapyupaithi sochiraath. He, who remembers with respect every morning, These five gems of the great Lord Ganapati, and who meditates in his heart the leader of ganas, Will soon be blessed with a healthy life, Free of all problems, endowed with great peace Great sons, longevity and spiritual and physical wealth. ॥ इति श्री शंकराचार्य विरचितं श्री महागणेश पञ्चरत्नं संपूर्णम् ॥

This is the hymn that contains the 32 names of Durga Devi. They were disclosed by Durga Devi herself to the Gods who inquired what was the easiest way to propitiate her. She told them that whosoever chants this hymn will be instantly relieved from all sorts of danger.
That Śiva, Who having held a long-garland of the best-snake (cobra) at the neck which is purified by the flow of trickling water-drops in the forest-like twisted hair-locks, Who danced the fierce Tāṇḍava-dance to the music of a sounding-drum, — May that Śiva extend my bliss.[1]
At every moment, may I find pleasure in Śiva, Whose head is situated in between the creeper-like unsteady waves of Nilimpanirjharī (Gańgā) which is roaming unsteadily in the frying-pan like twisted hair-locks, Who has crackling and blazing fire at the surface of forehead, and Who has a crescent-moon (young moon) at the forehead.[2]
May my mind seeks happiness in Śiva, Whose mind has the shining universe and all the living-beings inside, Who is the charming sportive-friend of the daughter of the mountain-king of the Earth (i.e. Himālaya), Whose uninterrupted series of merciful-glances conceals immense-troubles, and Who has direction as His clothes.[3]
May my mind hold in Śiva, by Whom — with the light from the jewels of the shining-hoods of creeper-like yellow-snakes — the face of Dikkanyās’ are smeared with Kadamba-juice like red Kuńkuma, Who looks dense due to the glittering skin-garment of an intoxicated elephant, and Who is the Lord of the ghosts.[4]
For a long time, may Śiva — Whose foot-basement is grey due to the series of pollen dust from flowers at the head of Indra (Sahasralocana) and all other demi-gods, Whose matted hairlocks are tied by a garland of the king of snakes, and Who has a head-jewel of the friend of cakora bird — produce prosperity.[5]
May we acquire the possession of tress-locks of Śiva, Which absorbed the five-arrows (of Kāmadeva) in the sparks of the blazing fire stored in the rectangular-forehead, Which are being bowed by the leader of supernatural-beings, Which have an enticing-forehead with a beautiful streak of crescent-moon.[6]
May I find pleasure in Trilocana, Who offered the five great-arrows (of Kāmadeva) to the blazing and chattering fire of the plate-like forehead, and Who is the sole-artist placing variegated artistic lines on the breasts of the daughter of Himālaya (Pārvatī).[7]
May Śiva — Whose cord-tied neck is dark like a night with shining-moon obstructed by a group of harsh and new clouds, Who holds the River Gańgā, Whose cloth is made of elephant-skin, Who has a curved and crescent moon placed at the forehead, and Who bears the universe — expand [my] wealth.[8]
I adore Śiva, Who supports the dark glow of blooming blue lotus series at around the girdle of His neck, Who cuts-off Smara (Kāmadeva), Who cuts-off Pura, Who cuts-off the mundane existence, Who cuts-off the sacrifice (of Dakṣa), Who cuts-off the demon Gaja, Who cuts-off Andhaka, and Who cuts-off Yama (death).[9]
I adore Śiva, Who only eats the sweet-flow of nectar from the beautiful flowers of Kadamba-trees which are the abode of all important auspicious qualities, Who destroys Smara (Kāmadeva), Who destroys Pura, Who destroys the mundane existence, Who destroys the sacrifice (of Dakṣa), Who destroys the demon Gaja, Who destroys Andhaka, and Who destroys Yama (death).[10]
May Śiva, Whose dreadful forehead has oblations of plentiful, turbulent and wandering snake-hisses — first coming out and then sparking, Whose fierce tāṇḍava-dance is set in motion by the sound-series of the auspicious and best-drum (ḍamaru) — which is sounding with ‘dhimit-dhimit’ sounds, be victorious.[11]
When will I adore Sadāśiva with an equal vision towards varied ways of the world, a snake or a pearl-garland, royal-gems or a lump of dirt, friend or enemy sides, a grass-eyed or a lotus-eyed person, and common men or the king.[12]
Living in the hollow of a tree in the thickets of River Gańgā, always free from ill-thinking, bearing añjali at the forehead, free from lustful eyes, and forehead and head bonded, when will I become content while reciting the mantra ‘‘Śiva?’’[13]
इदम् हि नित्यमेवमुक्तमुत्तमोत्तमं स्तवं पठन्स्मरन्ब्रुवन्नरो विशुद्धिमेतिसंततम् । हरे गुरौ सुभक्तिमाशु याति नान्यथा गतिं विमोहनं हि देहिनां सुशङ्करस्य चिंतनम् ॥१४॥
Reading, remembering, and reciting this eternal, having spoken thus, and the best among best eulogy indeed incessantly leads to purity. In preceptor Hara (Śiva) immediately the state of complete devotion is achieved; no other option is there. Just the thought of Śiva (Śańkara) is enough for the people.[14]
At the time of prayer-completion, that who reads this song by Daśavaktra (Rāvaṇa) after the prayer of Śambhu — Śambhu gives him stable wealth including chariots, elephants and horses, and beautiful face.[15]
Please follow these mantra in the presence of a Guru who will help you when things go wrong. Wakening of the Kundalini can be fatal, please do not try this alone. You need a Guru to help you to reverse the effect. Please visit Wikipedia article on Kundalini.
Further more I cannot confirm the source of these Mantra. If anything goes wrong I shall not be held responsible since wakening of the Kundalini has proven dangerous in some cases as the disciple was not following the right path. This is given here for information only.
