शिवज्ञान-विज्ञान स्तोत्रम्
(Shiva-Jñāna-Vijñāna Stotram)
About this Stotra:
This hymn is a modern Sanskrit composition that expands upon timeless ideas found across
Sanātana Dharma and the broader Hindu scriptural tradition.
Its verses are inspired by the philosophical teachings of the
Upanishads, Śaiva Āgamas, and classical
Śaiva Vedānta.
While the stotra itself is not taken from any single scripture, many lines reflect concepts
that appear in:
- Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad — especially teachings on Shiva as the Supreme Reality (e.g., 2.15, 4.14, 6.11)
- Kaivalya Upaniṣad — “Shiva as the inner Self” and “Shivoham” realization
- Mandukya & Māṇḍūkya Kārikā — non‑dual awareness and inner illumination
- Śaiva Siddhānta texts — the role of divine grace (anugraha)
- Kashmir Shaivism — recognition (pratyabhijñā) and inner awakening
The stotra therefore stands as a devotional and philosophical synthesis — faithful to the spirit of Hindu scriptures while expressing the ideas in a unified poetic form.
